I paid Mr Moore $200 and never received the tax service I was promised. Even after a lengthy phone call trying to resolve the issue, or at the very least come to some sort of settlement, all I was given by Mr Moore were accusations that somehow this was solely my fault that he was $200 wealthier with my money and he was without wrong doing for not giving me the service I paid for. I came to this CPA with a long standing tax problem that left my tax returns getting rejected. I came to him for help with my IP pin and my AGI number to which he claimed he could easily do and get my taxes correctly filed for the price of $200 per tax year he filed. He even went as far to say that he could alter or correct my IP pin if need be. The perfect answer for my tax problems. Shortly after I paid him up front ,as he insisted was necessary, he contacted me telling me that everything was filed without problems and I will be receiving my tax return. He ended up revising his original statement the next morning with a phone call not only saying it was actually rejected, but he needed me to resolve the issue with my IP pin to be able to attempt to file again. The original tax problem that I came to him, fixing the issue with my IP pin, was still not fixed. He said he could fix it for the cost of $200 and he did not and instead had the gall to insist that I fix the problem myself. How could I take that as anything other than an insult; for him to tell me to do the work I paid him to do? Moreover, Mr Moore lied about his ability to correct the issue with my IP pin. As he was not able to provide me with the service I was promised and paid for I requested a refund and He denied responsibility. Additionally he denied his claim that he could fix the IP pin at all. His promise to fix it was the only reason I hired him. He told me the work he did cost me $200 and he was not willing to refund any of the costs. I paid him $200 for a rejected tax return because he lied to me about his ability to fix the IP pin. In the end the CPA, MR Moore, was dishonest with his abilities to do my taxes, charged me $200 for a product worth nothing, and refused responsibility when he was unable to provide the services he owed me. These qualities and border-line fraudulent actions reflect poorly on his character and his business. I expect nothing less than a full refund for the service I was promised and never given. I am willing to redact my entire complaint if I am refunded for the reasons I provided. Without Mr Moore fixing his mistakes, warning others about his flawed business practice methods is what I am morally compelled to do.
